Start Earning PDH HoursImportant Information
States with PDH Requirements
41 states plus the District of Columbia require Professional Engineers to complete continuing education to maintain their licenses. Requirements vary by state, ranging from 15 to 36 PDH hours per renewal period.
CivilCE courses are approved in all states that require continuing education.
States Without PDH Requirements
Currently, 9 states do not require continuing education for PE license renewal: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Montana, Rhode Island, and Washington.
While not required, many engineers in these states still pursue continuing education to stay current with industry standards.

Upon successful completion of any CivilCE course, you'll receive an official certificate that includes:
- ✓ Your name and PE license number
- ✓ Course title and description
- ✓ Number of PDH hours earned
